This coming Saturday, one of my long-term training clients will compete in her first bodybuilding competition. She's a beautiful girl inside and out. She will be competing against other novices who have worked very hard to lose body fat, gain muscle and redefine their athleticism.
Here's a quick video of a portion of our training session one week away from competition. Take a look at her leg and shoulder muscles -- through diet and exercise, those muscles have been added to her body over the course of 4 months. She's lost inches all over, and her shape has changed. I'm so proud of all the work she's done, but I'm mostly excited that she's grown stronger in her self-confidence and feelings of self-worth through the process.
